There is one world. There is no fallback position, no second planet held in reserve, no adult coming to fix it. Which leaves us. Tired, busy, washing still on the line, and the only ones actually here.

Big tech takes about two and a half hours of your attention a day and gives you nothing back but a flicker. We are taking one hour of it back a month, or five, or ten, and pointing it at something that is actually on fire.
